Breast Friends of Florida is Partnering with Health First Hospital

Breast Friends of Florida and Holmes Regional Medical Center and Palm Bay Hospital Cancer Program Office will be providing breast cancer education and comfort bags to women and men undergoing breast cancer surgery, including both lumpectomy and mastectomy patients. These canvas bags are hand painted with love and care by volunteer members of Breast Friends of Florida. The bags always bring a smile to each patient’s face even under the most stressful health consequence.  The breast cancer comfort bags contain an exceptional breast cancer education handbook which is written so that every patient,  in every walk of life, has a clear understanding of their journey through breast cancer treatment from surgery through follow-up care. They also contain a seat belt pillow to protect the new breast cancer surgical site, a personal journal, hand sanitizer, and drain holders which are provided as needed for the mastectomy patient and last, but not least, a “First I Cry Packet” to remind each of these special breast cancer patients they are not alone.
