The 2011 Breast Friends Survivor Luncheon was a wonderful success with Deb Hat making her debut speech in from of almost 250 people. She talked about the loss of her son, her diagnosis of breast cancer the same year and her fight back from the depths of depression to thriving today. The luncheon was held at the DoubleTree Lloyd Center, Portland OR of Oct 1, 2011. We enjoyed a fashion show produced by Chris Gauger, owner of Here We Go Again Deluxe Resale Boutique. She presented ‘Frugal Fashionista 101′ a fashion show using stylish examples to mix and match items from your closet.
Thanks to Epic Imaging for being our Presenting sponsor of the Survivor Luncheon. We appreciate all their support for this luncheon as well as other ways they support us throughout the year.
We also want to thank the Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure for being the “Survivor Sponsor” of our Survivor Luncheon! Because of their funding, we were able to offer discounted tickets for cancer survivors. The first 300 survivors who registered received their ticket at the discounted rate of $10/ticket (a $20 savings!).
