Breast Friends communicates the message of “help and hope” through many speaking venues including: keynote presentations to large conferences, fundraisers, and survivor celebrations, as well as workshops, and educational sessions to small groups, survivor support groups, multi-cultural organizations and more.
Keynote Presentations
Our keynote speaker is Becky Olson, Co-founder of Breast Friends. Becky is a professional speaker and author. Her presentations are laced with humor and help audiences enjoy and understand the importance of support and staying in touch with someone undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Becky travels the country sharing her humorous and heartwarming stories of surviving breast cancer and her decision to help other women who are faced with a cancer diagnosis. Her presentations offer encouragement and hope for the survivor. (Fees apply). Topics Include:
“Humor, Happiness, and Hope…A survivor’s story.” (60 minute Keynote)
“Don’t Spare the China…The Art of Creating a Legacy.” (45-60 minute Keynote)
Workshops
Sharon Henifin is a certified Life Coach and has developed two different week-end workshops:
“Survivorship” designed to help nurses and medical professionals understand how they can better serve the emotional needs of a cancer patient. (Fees Apply)
“Thriving Beyond Cancer,“ is a workshop for women at the end of treatment (fees apply – scholarships available-sponsorships welcome)
Educational Sessions
Based on location and timing, Breast Friends will provide speakers for your event to talk about Breast Friends, breast and ovarian cancer from a survivor perspective, the importance of support, and more. (no fee – but travel expenses may be required). Topics include:
